These MOD-icons are most commonly used for modernist homes built during the mid 20th century, but work well for pretty much any home type. Digital files are included with all orders. The colors you choose do not need to match the existing colors of the home being drawn. I typically use 4-8 colors on each MOD-icon, including backgrounds, windows, and outlines.
All MOD-icons include a House Name written in bold below the main artwork. This can be something like The Smith Residence, Rainbow House, or even just the address.
This includes the typeface (font), styling (bold, italic, underlined, etc.), sizing, letter spacing, line spacing, etc. Please be as specific as possible.
MOD-icon text can include things like alternate house names, architect name(s), builder name, city and state, and the year the house was built below the primary house name. But this is fully customizable based on what you need and want. Please be as specific as possible.
If you choose to have me take the reference photos, the home needs to be in the Sacramento area. I will give you a time window for when I will arrive, and you do not need to be home. In most cases this will cost more than providing the photos yourself.
Accepted file types are .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .pdf, .zip, .gz, .gzip, .rar, .7z. You may upload as many as 10 files, with the maximum size of all photos not exceeding 20MB. Please ensure photos are large, clear, and hight quality. The home should be properly framed, well lit, and everything you want in the artwork should be visible.
Digital files are already included with all MOD-icons.
MOD-icons can be printed on a lot of different items (signage, mugs, apparel, postcards, etc.). Just let me know what you need and I will do my best to make it happen.
This indicates the number of iterations of the artwork I will complete and make changes to based on your feedback. All MOD-icon projects include 1 revision, but you may choose to have more.
Personal use licenses are included with all MOD-icons and permit you to print the artwork at any size you choose for any non-commercial purpose as often as you would like, forever. Commercial use licenses can vary widely, so we will need to discuss your needs before I submit a license agreement to you.
Skip this step if you don’t have a deadline. Most MOD-icon projects take about 3 days to complete, depending on the number of revisions, and any other projects already in my schedule.
This could include your dog peeking through a window, emphasizing address numbers, a certain plant you like, etc. Note that most MOD-icons do not include plants, unless they are integral to the design of the home or requested by the client.
